2022 King Salmon on Shasta Lake
Jim and Lori got this 4.4 pound King Salmon this weekend on Shasta Lake. They also caught some nice rainbows. I will be fishing both Whiskeytown Lake and Shasta Lake all spring and summer trolling. And don’t forget some bass fishing!

Kokanee Salmon Fishing
Windy fishing but unbelievable bites. It takes a lot of great boat operating to catch fish like Kokanee salmon, but if you can keep the boat straight you’ll catch them. Limits are is not a problem!

Kokanee Salmon Fishing on Whiskeytown Lake
2022 Kokanee salmon fishing is red hot! These fish are the best I’ve seen in all the years I have been guiding here! These fish are fighting like they normally do and are 15 to 16 inches on average.

2022 Salmon Fishing
Weather has been absolutely crazy but the fish don’t seen to mind. The bite has been really steady with limits daily catching bigger fish everyday! Today the fish were the biggest I’ve seen all year. The males are starting to show their salmon ways, with some of their mouths changing.

Kokanee Salmon
This salmon fishing still continues to stay strong. The weather has been up and down but the end of the week looks good for some warm fishing. Limits of Kokanee salmon should be a norm for the next few months.

2022 King Salmon Opening July 16th
We are booking for the beginning of the season for the big Sacramento River opening day for king salmon. This season will start in July and goes till December 31st.

2022 King Salmon Fishing on Rogue River in Gold Beach
I’m getting ready for the Rogue River king salmon fishing starting for myself on July 1, 2022. Already this has been one of the best Spring seasons in many years. The Spring run fish will be hitting hard the first part of July as last year it was pretty darn good.

2022 Spring Kokanee Salmon Fishing
Today’s Kokanee salmon fishing was off the charts with non-stop action. Family trips like these sure really enjoy the Kokanee action! The fish are fighting pretty good even though the lake water temp is getting up to 60 degrees.

2022 Whiskeytown Kokanee Salmon Fishing!
These Kokanee salmon are biting again like Piranhas! Even though we had strong winds the fish hit super hard and fought incredible all morning. Average size fish was 15 inches and really fat and healthy. I will be bouncing back from river to Whiskeytown Lake all season till Oregon king salmon fishing!

Summer Salmon Fishing
This mornings fishing trip was super windy but we caught plenty of Kokanee salmon. Fish bit at 59 feet with a few at 15 first thing in the morning. Boat traffic was very light due to the winds. Orange seemed to be the hot color!

Summer Kokanee Salmon Fishing
Another successful morning on Whiskeytown Lake trolling for beautiful Kokanee salmon. Things can’t get any better with limits daily 14 to 17 inches. Warm weather is on its way and we will be starting a little early to beat the heat!

Salmon Fishing Kokanee
This weekend was absolutely one of the best weekends of the Spring! The fish are all great fighting fish with limits by 11am. A few 16 and 17 inch fish with the best depth at 5O feet. Captain Kirk Portocarrero likes to keep the boat right on the fish as much as possible and he knows where to find them!

Kokanee Salmon Fishing
90 degree weather wont stop these fish from biting! It started off slower than normal but the Kokanee salmon started to go off around 9 am and then you couldn't keep the rods out of the water. Limits were hit by 11am.

Even with weather changes these fish are still on the wide open bite. Fish are growing daily with getting more 17 inch fish everyday!

Whiskeytown Lake Fishing
This morning went off like a bang first thing in the morning with double hook ups all morning long. Very little traffic today, surprisingly. 35 feet blue hoochies and orange were working the best for the Kokanee salmon.

2022 Spring & Fall King Salmon Fishing on Rouge River
Gearing up for the July salmon season on the Rogue River in Gold Beach, OR. I will be fishing the end of June till September taking a few days to fish the Sacramento River in the August 1st opener. Fish are arriving already in the mouth and it looks like a great king salmon season. My place in Gold Beach has got lots of rain already with 11 inches in one week!
