Sacramento River Trout Fishing
A little bit of a tough time fishing this morning on the Sacramento River. Started out with some nice fish until the weather turned and the temp dropped kind of shut it down for a while. As the day went on we picked away at fish the rest of the day. Finally, the rain arrived and the fish bit great the last couple of hours. These fish seem to bite a lot better when we have steady temperatures.

Hot Weather Gets Big Rainbows to Bite!
The weather has turned much warmer than before. We are getting mid 60s to low 7O degree weather and the mid day bite is awesome .25 fish days are just around the corner! Drifting egg patterns is the most successful way to get these fish to bite. Remember, the upper stretch closes soon April 1st through August 1st.

Spotted Bass Fishing
The weather is beautiful and so are the fish! Bass fishing has improved a lot since the warm days came on. Water levels are rising slowly and the fish are biting good from 10 am - 4 pm. Arbuckle Fly's up the pot arm is one of the best places currently. Squaw Arm is producing some good size fish as well. Plastic worms are the number one bait.

Brown Trout on Lake Shasta
Well, when that water warms up and the sun shines you can get some nice brown trout on Shasta Lake. This is the time of the year that we can really get some good trout fishing but mostly brown trout. Big baits are the best thing to use for these fish paired with a lot of time on the water!
